The single-player mode of Infinity Blade features an intuitive combat interface and simple touch controls which enable hardcore and casual gamers alike to engage in fun, furious battles. As play progresses, players gain experience, build stats and earn more powerful items to prepare their knight for the final encounter with the game's nemesis, the God-King.
In Infinity Blade which is an
action role-playing game, for untold ages, the God King has ruled with an iron fist - his power is incalculable; his followers, legion. Now you must journey to the Dark Citadel to battle his Titans, one by one, until you face the tyrant himself. As it has been for all in your bloodline, this is your birthright - to free your people from an endless legacy of darkness. The immortal can be vanquished - but only if heart, mind, and steel are one.
The main nature of Infinity Blade is a story that is repetitive, making the player ascend the castle one time after another in order to kill the king of the castle, the game's main villain the God King (and the deathless). At the beginning of the game the player's character will be slain by the God King, and the player will subsequently take the role of his descendant. This cycle continues every time the player fails in his attempt to slay the God King. As each cycle passes, the enemies increase in level and difficulty making it harder to progress through the game. Infinity Blade has no virtual joysticks, instead movement is scripted and players move from room to room. However, in each room players can move the camera around to search the room for various objects including treasure and potions, as well as points of interest which allow the player to move into other areas.
