Square-Enix has given an update on the Wii version of Dragon Quest X, after over two years of silence on the subject. The most recent game in the series was the DS-only Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, developed by Professor Layton creators Level-5. It topped charts for weeks after its release in July last year.

Creator Yuji Horii told Nintendo Power, via CVG, that the game is definitely ongoing.
"I feel that some users will want to play Dragon Quest on the big screen, which is why we are working toward releasing it on Wii," he said.
"All we can say is that development is going well and we're on the last parts of the game."
"We can't really share much else at this point, but by the end of this year we should be able to announce something regarding it."
Dragon Quest X was announced in Dec 14 2008 by Square-Enix. It is a tradition that the game is developing with too long time which is develop by Square-Enix. For that, may be fans will have another long time to wait for the Dragon Quest X.
