Peter Vesterbacka announced that their newest Angry Birds Rio will due out on March 22. And in his words we can get ohter hints, the heavyweight sequel - Angry Birds 2 will release on the summer.

Peter Vesterbacka, the lead of Rovio, spoke to the future of Angry Birds games at a panel of
Game Developers' Conference this afternoon. He was reinforcing that the popular puzzle games will always remain at the core of the IP. Rovio plans to continue regular updates with new levels, birds, and more, even while looking into the viability of other
entertainment markets.
Angry Birds Rio is a stronge evidence of the newest which collaborate with 20th Century Fox, It's slated to release on
March 22. (The animated feature film "Rio," featuring the voices of Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway, comes out April 15.)
"The game is not a typically 'lame' tie-in," Vesterbacka said, but rather an "authentic" project that expands on the "Rio" story. Vesterbacka confirmed that Rovio is looking to expand the IP onto consoles but first must be reassured that the platform will allow for regular and meaningful updates.
Vesterbacka cited the mobile market as the place to be, claiming it's where "all the big new things are happening, you don't have to wait too long." It seems that
Angry Birds 2 already not so far from us. In view of the development speed as we know, you might download the hotest sequel in iPhone games markets as soon as this summer.
